Blogging News — Alexa算法改进

Rss订阅数和Alexa排名是一个Blog需要重视的数据，特别是写付费评论的博友，这些数据将直接影响博客的定价。最近，Alexa改进了排名算法。在此之前Alexa排名主要来自Alexa工具条，这样的算法并不能反映出真实的数据，因为在中国地区使用Alexa工具条的网名非常少，从而导致中文博客的排名并不理想。

改进过后，统计将会更加合理，以下是官方的一段说明：

Your ranking wasn’t wrong before, but it was different. Alexa toolbar users’ interests and surfing habits could differ from those of the general population in a number of ways, and we described some of those possible differences on our website. While the vast majority of sites’ rankings were unaffected by such differences, we’ve worked hard on our new ranking system to adjust for situations in which they could matter. The new rankings should better reflect the interests and surfing habits of the broader population of Web users.

本次算法调整后，Alexa数据也进行了新的更新。据悉，中文博客的排名大都有所上升，<后80花园>现在是250k，还有比如：总统博客上升到100K，月光博客上升到20K。而不少知名的英文博客数据都有所下降，详情可以参加<Alexa Rankings changed drastically Blogs lose Ranks>一文。

  我比较好奇的是，现在他们怎样计算流量？排名的依据又是什么？
  思考了很久，从原理上，从技术上，都完全想不明白。难道，alexa里都是神人？哈哈哈。
  PS：偶估摸着，alexa有可能仍然是以toolbar的统计为依据，只不过（按地区？按类别？按主题？按SE收录或者反向数？按其它可以获得的外部数据？等等）调整了中文站的排名权重而已，忽悠了我们一把，哈哈哈。
